| Prayer for Health and
Healing |
Father, you said in I John 5:14-15,
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything
according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever
we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”
Father, I come to you confidently, knowing that
according to Your word, it is Your will to heal me. It is written that the
prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if I
have committed sins, I will be forgiven (James 5:15-16).
Jesus, you said whatever things I desire when I pray to believe I
receive them and I shall have them, providing that if I hold anything against
anyone, I forgive him, so that my Father in heaven may forgive me my sins (Mark
11:24-25). I let go of all
unforgiveness, resentment, anger, and bad feelings toward anyone.
Your Word says that healing is your
children’s bread (Mark 7:27). I am your child, as I have confessed
Jesus as my Lord according to Romans 10:9-10.
Therefore, healing is mine. I
thank You for it, Lord. Your Word says you are the Lord Who heals me (Exodus
15:26), and that by Your stripes I am healed (Isaiah 53:5).
My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and I desire to be in good health. I
seek truth that will make me free. You bought me at a price, and I desire to
glorify you in my spirit and my body – they both belong to you (I
Corinthians 6:19-20).
Thank you, Father, for sending Your Word to heal me and deliver me from all my
destructions (Psalm 107:20). Jesus, You are the Word who became flesh
and dwelt among us (John 1:14). You bore my griefs (pains) and carried
my sorrows (sickness). You were pierced through for my transgressions, crushed
for my iniquities, the chastening for my well-being fell upon You, and by your
stripes I am healed. (Isaiah 53:3-5, I Peter 2:24)
Father, I give attention to Your words, and incline my ear to your sayings. I
will not let them depart from my sight, but keep them in the midst of my
heart. For they are my life and health to my whole body. (Proverbs 4:20-22)
Lord, You said if I fear You and shun evil, this will bring health to my body
and nourishment to my bones (Proverbs 3:7-8). I will not die, but live
and proclaim what the Lord has done (Proverbs 118:17).
I refuse to be cast down or discouraged.
I will praise You, Lord! You
are the health of my countenance and my God! (Psalm 42:11)
O Lord my God, I thank You that I called to you for help and you healed
me! (Psalm 30:2) I bless
You, Lord. I will not forget ANY
of Your benefits. You forgive all my sin.
You heal all my diseases, and I thank You for it. (Psalm 103:2-3) Healing belongs to me. It
is part of Your covenant with me, and I thank You for it.
I praise You, Lord!
Since the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from
the dead dwells in me, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life
to my mortal body through His Spirit who dwells in me.
Thank You that I will prosper and be in health
even as my soul prospers (III John 2). In Jesus’ name, Amen.
[Remember that “Death
and life are in the power of the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21).
It is important not to nullify and negate your prayers by speaking
words of doubt and death. Do not
speak anything that disagrees with what God’s Word has said about your
situation. The fact may be that your body exhibits all the signs of
sickness. However, facts can
change. Truth never changes.
Truth will change the facts. God’s
Word is truth.] |
