How to Have a
Successful Prayer Life

A successful prayer life is important to the
committed Christian. After all, why pray if you can't be assured of results?
How can you be assured of results?
I John 5:14 says, "And this is the
confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask any thing according to His
will, He hears us."
That's nice, but for most people that's just
common sense. OF COURSE He hears those prayers that line up with His will. But
what is His will and how can I know I am praying according to it?
GOD'S WORD IS HIS WILL.
Read His Word and find out His will concerning
the situation you are praying about.
For example, if you're praying for safety, you
might pray: "Father, I thank you that because You are my Lord, You will
not let evil befall me nor any plague come near my dwelling. Thank You that
Your angels are watching over me."
In praying this, you can know you are praying
according to God's will because His Word affirms it in Psalm 91:9-11
and Luke 4:10.
Now that you know you are praying according to
His will, you know He hears you, "And if we know that He hears us,
whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions desired of Him."
(I John 5:15)
As a committed Christian, a successful prayer
life is important to you. As you pray according to God's Word, you can be
assured of the desired results.
